As a Central Michigan University graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, I am certified to teach at the elementary level as well as language arts at the middle level. I graduated in December 2010 and moved to Sanford, North Carolina in March of 2010 to teach fifth grade.
Since then, I have spent six wonderful years teaching first grade. I’ve also had the opportunity to lead after school programs, and teach at “Science in the Summer” or “Summer Reading Camp” each summer. I have also been appointed Teacher of the year, served as Grade Level Chairperson and most recently served as the Lead Mentor teacher for my school.
I will make a fantastic addition to your team because I am flexible, motivated and enthusiastic. While teaching in a Title I school, I worked with a diverse group of learners. Differentiated instruction is crucial to the success of these students, so I created and administered both reading interventions and reading extensions. I will cater to the learning needs of students in your district just the same. I also take pride in being a lifelong learner. I have no doubt that I’ll make an excellent addition to your community of teachers.
I’m confident you will be pleased with my dedication to student success. Feel free to learn more about my experiences and my teaching style through my online portfolio. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to speak about opportunities in your district. I look forward to hearing from you.
